This London developer had a tight site with the requirement for a piled basement almost on the perimeter of the site boundary. The basement was formed using the ‘king-post’ method of widely-spaced piles reinforced with steel column sections, the spaces between filled with pre-cast concrete planks between the steel column flanges.

This hotel needed piles to the leisure and swimming pool areas to fit a new roof structure as part of a refit.
