A Positive Start to the New Year: Strong Foundations Along the River Dee
Foundation Piling has recently completed the installation of a 7-metre retained contiguous bored piled wall, extending 83 linear metres along the banks of the River Dee in Chester.
Designed by our in-house engineering team, the structure was developed as a self-supporting retaining system, incorporating 600mm diameter piles installed to depths of 15 metres into underlying rock. This approach enabled controlled excavation while maintaining stability and programme efficiency.
The steep site profile required the deployment of our restricted access Geax EK40 rig, allowing safe installation within constrained conditions. Through careful planning and technical execution, the works were delivered on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction.
